RBI SGS Auction: ₹24,086.048 Crore Allotted on Aug 4

The Reserve Bank of India released the results of the State Government Securities auction held on August 04, 2026. The total notified amount in the auction was ₹26,850 crore, while the total allotment stood at ₹24,086.048 crore.

According to the RBI release, competitive bids worth ₹92,785.636 crore were received through 1,482 bids. Of these, 209 competitive bids were accepted for ₹23,012.027 crore. In the non-competitive segment, 215 bids worth ₹1,221.263 crore were received, and 203 bids worth ₹1,074.021 crore were accepted.

Key auction outcome

The allotment was lower than the notified amount mainly because Gujarat did not accept any amount in two securities, while Assam and Uttarakhand accepted partial amounts in their respective securities.

  • Assam accepted ₹930.030 crore against a notified amount of ₹1,000 crore in the re-issue of 7.56% Assam SGS 2036.
  • Gujarat accepted no amount in the re-issue of 7.38% Gujarat SGS 2035 and 7.51% Gujarat SGS 2038. The notified amounts were ₹1,000 crore and ₹1,500 crore respectively.
  • Uttarakhand accepted ₹106.018 crore against a notified amount of ₹300 crore in its 12-year security.

The RBI release listed cut-off yields and prices separately for each security where bids were accepted. The lowest cut-off yield reported in the auction was 6.94% for Odisha SGS 2030. Among securities with longer tenors, several cut-off yields were near the 7.70% level.

State-wise allotments mentioned in the release

Bihar received full allotment in both securities. Bihar SGS 2035 had a notified amount of ₹800 crore and was allotted ₹800 crore, with a cut-off yield of 7.5106%. Bihar SGS 2051 had a notified amount of ₹1,200 crore and was allotted ₹1,200 crore, with a cut-off yield of 7.6988%.

Chhattisgarh also received full allotment in two securities. Chhattisgarh SGS 2035 was allotted ₹500 crore at a cut-off yield of 7.4999%, while Chhattisgarh SGS 2042 was allotted ₹500 crore at a cut-off yield of 7.6808%.

Himachal Pradesh SGS 2044 was allotted ₹400 crore with a cut-off yield of 7.7018%. Himachal Pradesh SGS 2049 was allotted ₹300 crore with a cut-off yield of 7.6967%.

Jammu and Kashmir received ₹500 crore each in SGS 2046 and SGS 2051. The cut-off yields were 7.7010% and 7.7022% respectively. Jharkhand SGS 2033 was allotted ₹1,000 crore, with a cut-off yield of 7.3508%.

Kerala SGS 2033 received ₹800 crore at a cut-off yield of 7.3208%. Kerala SGS 2039 received ₹1,000 crore at a cut-off yield of 7.6624%.

Madhya Pradesh had two securities in the auction. Madhya Pradesh SGS 2044 was allotted ₹1,600 crore with a cut-off yield of 7.6983%. Madhya Pradesh SGS 2056 was allotted ₹2,000 crore with a cut-off yield of 7.6961%.

Other allotments

Manipur SGS 2040 was allotted ₹250 crore at a cut-off yield of 7.6862%. Odisha had two securities: Odisha SGS 2030 was allotted ₹1,000 crore at 6.94%, and Odisha SGS 2040 was allotted ₹1,000 crore at 7.64%. Sikkim SGS 2039 was allotted ₹200 crore with a cut-off yield of 7.7298%.

Tamil Nadu had three securities in the auction. Tamil Nadu SGS 2036 was allotted ₹1,000 crore at 7.49%, Tamil Nadu SGS 2041 was allotted ₹1,000 crore at 7.62%, and Tamil Nadu SGS 2051 was allotted ₹500 crore at 7.70%.

Telangana received full allotment in four securities. Telangana SGS 2039 was allotted ₹500 crore at 7.6297%, SGS 2044 was allotted ₹500 crore at 7.6991%, SGS 2049 was allotted ₹500 crore at 7.6986%, and SGS 2055 was allotted ₹1,000 crore at 7.7011%.

Uttar Pradesh also received full allotment in three securities. Uttar Pradesh SGS 2032 was allotted ₹1,000 crore at a cut-off yield of 7.1404%. Uttar Pradesh SGS 2042 and SGS 2051 were allotted ₹1,000 crore each, with cut-off yields of 7.6946% and 7.7011% respectively.

West Bengal SGS 2031 was allotted ₹500 crore with a cut-off yield of 7.1194%. West Bengal SGS 2044 and SGS 2052 were allotted ₹500 crore each, with cut-off yields of 7.6992% and 7.7057% respectively.
