The Reserve Bank of India released its daily money market and liquidity data on July 14, 2026. The figures were reported in ₹ crore, with rates shown in per cent. The release, numbered 2026-2027/662, covered overnight money market activity, term market activity, RBI liquidity operations, and reserve positions.
The data showed total overnight market volume of ₹6,66,967.15 crore on a one-leg basis. The weighted average rate for the overnight segment was 5.20 per cent, with the rate range reported at 2.50 per cent to 6.45 per cent.
Overnight money market activity
Within the overnight segment, triparty repo accounted for the largest reported volume. Triparty repo volume stood at ₹4,55,716.35 crore, with a weighted average rate of 5.17 per cent. The range for this segment was 4.85 per cent to 5.28 per cent.
- Call money volume was ₹24,560.93 crore, with a weighted average rate of 5.30 per cent and a range of 4.60 per cent to 5.35 per cent.
- Market repo volume was ₹1,79,387.02 crore, with a weighted average rate of 5.26 per cent and a rate range of 2.50 per cent to 5.50 per cent.
- Repo in corporate bond volume was ₹7,302.85 crore. The weighted average rate was reported at 4.98 per cent, while the rate range was 5.35 per cent to 6.45 per cent.
Together, these four components made up the total overnight segment reported by the RBI and the Clearing Corporation of India Limited data framework referred to in the release.
Term segment figures
In the term segment, notice money volume was ₹152.80 crore. Its weighted average rate was 5.14 per cent, with a range of 4.70 per cent to 5.25 per cent. The RBI’s note says notice money relates to uncollateralized transactions of 2 to 14 days tenor.
Term money volume was ₹255.00 crore. No weighted average rate was reported for this category, while the range was 5.60 per cent to 5.70 per cent. The release describes term money as uncollateralized transactions of 15 days to one year tenor.
Term triparty repo volume stood at ₹9,735.00 crore, with a weighted average rate of 5.26 per cent and a range of 5.10 per cent to 5.30 per cent. Term market repo volume was ₹282.00 crore, with the weighted average rate and range both shown at 5.40 per cent. No transaction was reported under term repo in corporate bond.
RBI liquidity operations
Under the Liquidity Adjustment Facility, Marginal Standing Facility and Standing Deposit Facility section, the release listed one-day MSF and SDF operations auctioned on July 13, 2026, and maturing on July 14, 2026.
The MSF amount was ₹5,964.00 crore at 5.50 per cent. The SDF amount was ₹1,55,296.00 crore at 5.00 per cent. Based on the RBI’s stated formula, net liquidity injected from today’s operations was reported at minus ₹1,49,332.00 crore. The release defines net liquidity as repo plus MSF plus SLF minus reverse repo minus SDF, with a positive figure showing injection and a negative figure showing absorption.
The Standing Liquidity Facility availed from the RBI was ₹10,083.82 crore. Net liquidity injected from outstanding operations was also shown at ₹10,083.82 crore. After including today’s operations and outstanding operations, the net liquidity figure was minus ₹1,39,248.18 crore.
Reserve position
The RBI also reported cash reserve-related figures for scheduled commercial banks. Cash balances with the RBI as on July 13, 2026, were ₹7,72,285.55 crore. The average daily cash reserve requirement for the fortnight ending July 15, 2026, was ₹7,98,115.00 crore.
The Government of India surplus cash balance reckoned for auction as on July 13, 2026, was reported at ₹0.00 crore. Net durable liquidity was shown as a surplus of ₹4,82,130.00 crore as on June 15, 2026.
