Yash Raj Films marked the first anniversary of Saiyaara with a special event at London’s Wembley Stadium, where lead actors Ahaan Panday and Aneet Padda unveiled an exclusive Collector’s Edition Vinyl LP for the film.
The release celebrates the music of the Mohit Suri-directed romance, which became a major commercial success after its release. According to the details shared, Saiyaara grossed over Rs. 580 crores worldwide and brought attention to Ahaan Panday and Aneet Padda as an on-screen pair.
Why Wembley Stadium was chosen
Wembley Stadium has a direct connection to the film’s story. In Saiyaara, the venue is used for one of the film’s key moments, when Ahaan Panday’s character Krish Kapoor recognises Vaani Batra through her eyes on the stadium’s giant screen.
The climactic reunion between Krish and Vaani also takes place at Wembley. That made the London venue a fitting location for the anniversary event and the launch of the special music release.
What the Collector’s Edition includes
The new Collector’s Edition is a two-disc vinyl set designed to bring together the film’s songs, background score and selected dialogues. The first LP features all nine songs from the Saiyaara soundtrack.
The second disc has 25 tracks. These include 16 original background score compositions and nine memorable dialogues from the film. The package is aimed at fans who want the complete audio experience of the movie in a physical format.
YRF has also added several printed and themed items to the Collector’s Pack. It includes a specially curated Saiyaara diary with notes from YRF CEO Akshaye Widhani, director Mohit Suri, Ahaan Panday and Aneet Padda. The diary also carries contributions from composers, lyricists and members of the film’s music team.
The set further includes an ink pen inspired by Vaani’s notebook in the film, along with two character-themed bookmarks featuring Krish and Vaani.
Mohit Suri on the film’s music
Director Mohit Suri said the film’s emotional quality was closely tied to its music. He described music as the soul of a love story and said the songs helped shape the relationship between Krish and Vaani on screen.
Referring to the film’s line about memory and music, Suri said it was meaningful that the songs had stayed with audiences after the film. He added that the LP was created as a way for viewers to experience the film again through its emotions, melodies and memories.
Suri also said the team had thought carefully about the details of the record so that it could bring the Saiyaara experience back for listeners.
YRF calls it a return to romance
YRF CEO Akshaye Widhani said Saiyaara was a deeply personal film for the studio because it marked YRF’s return to romance, a genre closely associated with the banner. He credited Mohit Suri for helping deliver a film and music album that the studio wanted to feel lasting for audiences.
Widhani said the Collector’s Edition Vinyl LP was planned as a keepsake for fans and music listeners, giving them a way to revisit the film through its music, sound and dialogues.
