The campaign was titled “SAIL-e-Bration: Steel Built India, SAIL Built Trust”. It invited Indian citizens to use short-form digital storytelling to show SAIL’s role in India’s growth, public infrastructure and everyday life. The contest was hosted on the MyGov platform from January 31, 2026, to March 16, 2026.

According to the announcement, the contest received 2,425 registrations. The format focused on reels, cinematic stories and digital advertisements. In this context, a reel refers to a short video made for digital platforms, usually designed to communicate a message quickly through visuals, music, narration or on-screen action.

SAIL, which comes under the Ministry of Steel, Government of India, used the campaign to encourage citizens to present steel not only as an industrial product but also as a material connected with bridges, buildings, transport systems, public works and personal milestones. The contest theme asked participants to connect these ideas with public trust in SAIL.

What participants were asked to show

The campaign encouraged participants to create digital content around the idea that steel is visible in both national development and daily life. Entries could use storytelling, advertisements or reel-style presentation to show how SAIL’s products and public presence are linked with trust, strength and nation-building.

The phrase “Steel Built India, SAIL Built Trust” framed the contest’s message. It connected the material role of steel in infrastructure with the institutional role of SAIL as a public sector steel producer. The announcement described the campaign as an effort to build a closer emotional connection with citizens by presenting SAIL as a dependable part of national infrastructure and personal moments.
