The Reserve Bank of India, in press release 2026-2027/648 published on July 13, 2026, reported a net liquidity injection figure of minus ₹1,14,843.18 crore after accounting for current and outstanding operations. A negative figure in the RBI release indicates absorption.
The release covered money market volumes, Liquidity Adjustment Facility operations, Marginal Standing Facility, Standing Deposit Facility, Standing Liquidity Facility and reserve positions. The figures were reported in ₹ crore, with rates shown in per cent.
Money market volumes reported at zero
RBI reported 0.00 volume in the overnight money market segment. This included call money, triparty repo, market repo and repo in corporate bond. Since the listed volumes were nil, the weighted average rate and rate range columns were marked as not applicable or no transaction.
The term segment also showed 0.00 volume across notice money, term money, triparty repo, market repo and repo in corporate bond. Notice money in the release refers to uncollateralized transactions of 2 to 14 days tenor, while term money refers to uncollateralized transactions of 15 days to one year tenor.
RBI operations and liquidity figures
Under the section for Liquidity Adjustment Facility, Marginal Standing Facility and Standing Deposit Facility, the central bank listed operations dated July 11, 2026. For the Marginal Standing Facility, a one-day operation maturing on July 12, 2026 had an amount of ₹477.00 crore at 5.50 per cent. A two-day MSF operation maturing on July 13, 2026 showed ₹0.00 crore at the same rate.
For the Standing Deposit Facility, a one-day operation maturing on July 12, 2026 showed ₹1,72,088.00 crore at 5.00 per cent. A two-day SDF operation maturing on July 13, 2026 showed ₹0.00 crore at 5.00 per cent.
On this basis, RBI reported net liquidity injected from the operations listed as today’s operations at minus ₹1,71,611.00 crore.
Outstanding operations
In outstanding operations, RBI listed a variable rate repo operation dated July 10, 2026, with a three-day tenor and maturity on July 13, 2026. The amount was ₹50,015.00 crore, and the current rate or cut-off rate was 5.26 per cent.
The outstanding MSF entries included ₹0.00 crore for a two-day operation maturing on July 12, 2026, and ₹113.00 crore for a three-day operation maturing on July 13, 2026. Both were shown at 5.50 per cent.
For the SDF under outstanding operations, RBI reported ₹0.00 crore for a two-day operation maturing on July 12, 2026, and ₹3,444.00 crore for a three-day operation maturing on July 13, 2026. Both were shown at 5.00 per cent.
The Standing Liquidity Facility availed from RBI was ₹10,083.82 crore. RBI reported net liquidity injected from outstanding operations at ₹56,767.82 crore. After combining outstanding operations with the operations listed for the day, the overall net liquidity injected figure was minus ₹1,14,843.18 crore.
Reserve position
The release also gave reserve-related figures for scheduled commercial banks and government cash balances. Cash balances of scheduled commercial banks with RBI as on July 11, 2026 were ₹7,86,290.88 crore. The average daily cash reserve requirement for the fortnight ending July 15, 2026 was ₹7,98,115.00 crore.
The Government of India surplus cash balance reckoned for auction as on July 10, 2026 was ₹50,015.00 crore. RBI also reported net durable liquidity as a surplus of ₹4,82,130.00 crore as on June 15, 2026.
