OPPO India has introduced a new campaign for its Reno16 Series, with actor Janhvi Kapoor fronting the brand film. The campaign is built around the line #LiveItYourWay and focuses on self-expression, confidence and the use of mobile technology in creative work.
The film tells the story of Rhea, a young aspiring musician who posts a video of herself singing on social media. After sharing it, she begins to doubt herself and feels the pressure of judgement. The story changes when she receives a message from her father, along with a childhood photograph of her performing on stage without fear.
That memory pushes Rhea to reconnect with music. She begins preparing for a campus audition and moves from hesitation to a more confident attempt at pursuing her passion. The campaign uses this personal story to show how young users record, edit and share moments through their phones.
Janhvi Kapoor on the campaign
Janhvi Kapoor said the campaign appealed to her because it celebrates individuality and self-expression. She said she related to the idea of learning to trust herself, finding her voice and continuing despite outside noise. According to her, the Reno16 supports that creative journey by making the process of creating feel easier.
The campaign also uses a reimagined version of the song Jugni. In the film, the song is tied to Rhea’s shift from self-doubt to self-belief. The source material describes Jugni as a song associated with freedom, self-discovery and finding one’s voice.
How OPPO shows the Reno16 Series in the film
The OPPO Reno16 Series appears in the narrative as a device used for creating and sharing content. The campaign highlights features such as AI Remix Collage and OPPO Bubble. These are shown as tools that help users shape everyday moments into personal stories.
The film also features OPPO Enco Air5. In one scene, Rhea uses the earbuds to block outside distractions and focus on music. OPPO has stated that the Enco Air5 offers 52dB active noise cancellation.
OPPO describes the Reno16 Series as built for users who regularly create, capture, edit and share content. The company has highlighted AI-powered editing tools, imaging features and performance as parts of the new series. The campaign presents these features through Rhea’s preparation for her audition rather than through a standard product demonstration.
What OPPO India said
Sushant Vashistha, Head of Digital Marketing at OPPO India, said the campaign reflects how young people are using self-expression to communicate, connect and build confidence. He said the Reno16 Series was designed to support this behaviour through imaging and AI-driven creativity tools.
Goldee Patnaik, Head of Communications at OPPO India, said the Reno line has been positioned around creativity and self-expression. She said the Reno16 Series and OPPO Enco Air5 are meant to support different stages of a user’s creative process, from inspiration to recording and sharing.
OPPO India has launched the campaign film across its digital platforms, cinemas, OTT and outdoor media. The source also notes that Janhvi Kapoor shared a post related to the campaign on Instagram.
The campaign arrives as the next part of OPPO’s Reno Series promotion. According to the company, Reno16 combines camera features, software tools, AI-based editing and the series’ design language for users who want to create content on their phones.
